Volunteers play an important role in the history and current operations of the Health Center. We rely on our volunteer doctors, nurses and behavioral health counselors to provide much needed specialty treatment and to care for our patients during extended hours, allowing us to treat as many people as possible. Lay volunteers support efforts in many areas throughout the Health Center, such as assisting in patient intake at the front desk, providing administrative support, and assisting in fundraising and special events.

Volunteers are welcome and greatly appreciated at our Falmouth, Mashpee and Bourne offices. We ask that you commit to one shift a month and complete an application and brief training session. For more information, please call 508-477-7090. We look forward to hearing from you!

Following is a description of some of the volunteer roles at the Health Center:

Volunteer Greeter
Will welcome patients at our Mashpee location, directing them to the appropriate person or department. Very flexible schedule, depending on availability.

Administrative Support
Another pair of hands is always welcome at our busy front desk and in our administrative and development offices. Tasks include photocopying, answering phones, greeting patients, filing, and compiling information.

With the conversion to an electronic medical records system, there is a special need for data entry assistance to keep the electronic records up to date.

Fund Raising
Fund raising appeals and special events help make possible the Health Center’s services. Assisting with special events, organizing mailings and entering information into our growing donor data base all help to support this vital function.

Board of Directors
The needs and interests of the community are represented by the community representatives and Health Center patients who serve on the volunteer Board of Directors.
